How to Incorporate the Lift-N-Step Harness for In-Practice Use

Harness Reference Guide
STEP 1
Unfasten the bottom buckles on chest support and slip neck strap over dog’s head.
STEP 2
Loop girth straps over body and fasten buckles; adjust straps to fit snugly.
STEP 3
Unbuckle rear support and position under dog’s hind end in front of rear legs; fasten buckles (end of carrying strap should be centered between buckles).
STEP 4
Adjust to fit snugly.
STEP 5
Attach carrying strap to D-rings on both chest and rear support.
STEP 6
Lift up on carrying strap to support dog.
Instructions on how to use the Walkin’ Lift-n-Step Harness
Can the front harness of the Lift-N-Step be worn by itself?
The rear lifting component can be removed to support only the front legs. The front harness can also be used on its own as a standard walking harness.
Can a dog pee while wearing the harness?
Yes, this harness is specifically designed to allow pets to go to the bathroom. The rear harness piece features a cutout shape that allows both male and female pets to urinate cleanly while using the harness.
Can I fully lift a dog off the ground with the Lift-N-Step?
No, you should never entirely suspend a dog using this harness. If a dog requires more support than this harness provides, we recommend using the Walkin’ Combo Harness.
Can the lifting harness be safely used after surgery?
The Lift-n-Step is designed to aid pet’s healing from injury or surgery, allowing pet parents to gently lift their dog and support them through rehabilitation and recovery.
The Lift-N-Step has been used for post-op recovery for TPLO, ACL/CCL/MCL, and other orthopedic surgeries.
Is the handle strap adjustable?
